In May, Year 1 had a fantastic trip to Hamerton Zoo to support their learning about Animals in Science and Wild Animal non-chronological reports in English. In an educational workshop, the children learnt the difference between mammals, reptiles and amphibians. They got to meet a snake, a mouse and a very cute armadillo! The children enjoyed seeing a range of animals that they classified into their animal groups. Year 1 saw bears, tigers, meerkats, macaws, flamingoes and monkeys to name a few! They had a brilliant day with lots of naps on the bus on the way home!
